Mrs May’s deal is Brexit. I understand hardline Brexiteers may not think it is, but it is.

VFM, I said once, in jest, that Brexiteers (the word didn’t exist then) were deluded i.e. believing something that is not true. I’m coming around to the reluctant conclusion that you truly are, reinforced by your tightening spiral of interpreting things you…[Read more]

Keynsham is a strange place, half way between Bristol and Bath and famous hereabouts as the home of the Fry’s chocolate factory, later Cadburys, and shut by the lying Kraft Foods after they took over. For those of a certain age it was also known for Horace Batchelor’s “Famous Infra-Draw Method” adverts on Radio Luxembourg that he claimed in…[Read more]

Richard and Ed, financial issues were dealt with at mum’s partners insentience when he was first diagnosed. Mum has full financial control.

Mum has power of attorney also. Mum’s fella has no debit or credit  cards and is given cash every day, as required. I always make sure when we go down the Legion that I have plenty of money on me as he has a…[Read more]

    It looks like he’s just nicked a Crusader’s horse!!!😀😂😋

  • I just found this on FB:

What a brilliant photo, and a wonderful anti-racist poke in the eye.

  • What Brexit media is that then Dave? Even the Sun is saying we should take Mrs Mays deal as the lesser of two evils. So that leaves the Mail and who else ?

  • Yes, happy St. George’s Day everyone!

Reminded of a conversation on a train going home on leave some years ago, between myself and a very drunk, very Scottish sailor. He was in full Anti-Sassenach mode and trying to wind up the carriage population of myself, a well-dressed elderly gent and two young girls. After receiving no result from his wind…[Read more]

  • I agree 100%, Duke.  What fascinated me was how Farage was respectful of such and didn’t mention the guy’s SBS background.

    @Dave,

You really are out of touch with what’s occurring aren’t you.   Especially when you said the Leave vote would be split.   Everyone from Watson to the Guardian is fearful of the reverse.  It is the Remain vote that…[Read more]

  • Before getting my train home I was wandering down Keynsham High Street looking for a Greggs for lunch when a fully mailed knight with spear came strolling down the pavement.

    Marvellous.

I did wonder f it was the local MP, a certain Mr Rees-Mogg, but no glasses and a lot of beard.

SBS are not fame seekers like other SF brands. And SB man will always be a marine.

OMG VFM, you’re using phrases like drain the swamp now!

All this you’re getting excited about is infighting amongst half the country that has no effect on the other half. It’s probably only half of the Leave half. Do you really think Farage appeals to Remain voters? That’s what needs to happen, he can take all the Brexiteers he likes away from…[Read more]

  • If it comes to it and I hope it dont, Farage will get my vote. As I feel at the mo about the whole brexit situation I am actually chewing on the idea of joining the new party.

  • LOL….Dave.  The Change UK candidates are ex-Tory donkey’s just more of the same as now.  NO change whatsoever.

The Brexit Party however is if anything understating the quality of its candidates.  Farage introduced James Glancy as an ex-Marine.    Glancy was in fact in the special forces, serving in the elite Special Boat Service.  He is now a…[Read more]

<p style=”text-align: center;”>I had to be reminded who she was</p>
Rachel Johnson is standing for change,  she’s at least known by the public.

In certain places I’m sure farage could put the ex tory donkey up. I’m sure they will do well, but it’ll make no difference, all that it’s doing is splitting the leave vote not increasing it. The side…[Read more]

Ed, you are right on the money there with all points. It is not a good week at the moment, two appointments down for my wife and a third to go within two hours and a monumental issue with a housing cock-up crew affecting my disabled daughter. That is enough for the moment but PM Ed is right there with both points covering what I needed to say.

Want to see the quality and calibre of Brexit Party candidates?   Well five more were announced today.  You can listen to them and make your own assessments here.

Includes Claire Fox a darling of the Left – so watch out Labour.

  • If you have Visual Studio installed and you fancy giving it a go by following the walk through I posted earlier then there are a couple of things to note.

The first part of the walk through is just compiling fltk from source.

The files from Github need to go in the actual project folder inside the solution folder.

Don’t untick any of the…[Read more]

  • Thats exactly what I did, twice. I got the message there is no master Zip. 10 minutes later I noticed there is no connection to the internet either 😁.

My connection kept going up and down so I gave up until this morning. I now have the new files but they still wont compile.

Richard’s last response is one for you one to keep an eye on, and step in if necessary. Sometimes just being a third party for the affected person helps.

Luckily for us our experience is only as helpful neighbours, but I did note that in half of those affected, love turned to hatred and violence at being confined or frustrated in chasing their…[Read more]
